Election History

Mavis Nkansah Boadu – Member of Parliament

Mavis Nkansah Boadu was first elected as member of parliament on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the constituency in 2016 after obtaining 41,694 (80.44%) against her closest contender Awudu Salim of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In 2020, she was re-elected with 41, 111 (77.60%).

The Afigya Sekyere East constituency is considered a stronghold of the NPP as the party has won every election since 1996.
