In the Fourth Republican politics, the constituency is a political pendulum swinging between the two leading parties -the  NDC and the NPP. A cosmopolitan constituency by all standards, Odododiodio’s diversity makes it a hotbed for politics. it is in the heart of Accra. 

 The police flagged it as flashpoint for electoral violence. It has been in existence since 1992 and covers communities in Ga Mashie, parts of Makola and Kantamanto. It shares boundaries with Klottey Korley, Ablekuma South and Dadetokopon.
